Is That Your Phone Scratching -er- Ringing?
DJ SKILZ Signs Deal To Record “Scratch Ringtones” For Mobile Phones

LOS ANGELES - Millions of people hear their favorite song every time their cell phone rings -- now they can hear their favorite DJs scratch tracks! Nationally renowned disc jockey and recording artist DJ SKILZ, an endorser of American Audio products, has entered into an agreement with Omni Entertainment Inc. (Los Angeles) to produce “scratch ringtones” for cellular phones.

Working his lightning quick moves on American Audio gear, DJ SKILZ will scratch up a collection of original tracks, which will be converted into MP3 ringtones by Omni. Just like musical ringtones, these exclusive “DJ SKILZ Scratch Ringtones” will be available online to be downloaded by customers of major cellular carriers, including Sprint, Cingular, AT&T, Verizon and others. When their phone “rings,” these cellular users will hear authentic samples of SKILZ scratching.

“Were very excited about this, because scratch ringtones are something totally new and different,” said DJ SKILZ. “Scratch ringtones are great for DJs, emcees, entertainers -- anyone who likes this artform. They can express themselves and hear their favorite type of genre every time their cell phone rings.”

SKILZ explained that the ringtone deal came about after Steve Pina of Omni Entertainment saw him scratching at the Winter 2005 NAMM Show. “Steve told me that he wanted to produce scratch ringtones, and I thought it was a great idea,” said SKILZ. “As far as I know, there werent any other DJ scratch ringtones available anywhere, so I really wanted to make this happen.”

The talented, popular and innovative DJ SKILZ (a.k.a. Rick Loisi) is the ideal artist to lead the way in this groundbreaking venture. Having played in the hottest clubs from New York to Los Angeles, SKILZ served as resident DJ at the world-famous Club Rio in Las Vegas, where his mixing, scratching and juggling abilities packed in capacity crowds. As his following of fans grew, he got into the recording field, releasing his own scratch album, “Scratch Freak Vol. 1,” as well as two discs with scratch samples for DJs to use as tools, “Digital Scratch Traxx Vol. 1 & 2.”

In 1996, SKILZ exceptional scratching and mixing abilities caught the eye of American Audio, which entered into a sponsorship with him. Over the past 10 years, SKILZ has worked closely with American Audio to develop some of the hottest mixers on the market under his own DJ SKILZ Signature Series brand, including the popular QD-5 mixer. He has also traveled around the world demo-ing American Audio products at DJ conventions and trade shows.

“We are very thrilled and proud to have our own DJ SKILZ as the frontman for this exciting new area of scratch ringtones,” said Scott Davies, General Manager of the American DJ Group of Companies, parent company of American Audio. “With his amazing creativity and scratching skills, we can definitely predict there will be a big demand for his ringtones.”

The first DJ SKILZ Scratch Ringtones are scheduled for release on March 30, 2005. They will be available for downloading via several websites, including www.xringer.com, www.Streetbuzzz.com and SKILZ own site www.DJSkilz.com The ringtones will be accessible to customers of Sprint, Cingular, AT&T, Verizon and other major cellular companies, whose phones have the capability to download MP3 files.
